Unable to stop thinking about Simion’s brother, Perrin seeks Moiraine’s help in understanding the nature of his affliction. She claims to know very little, but\u00a0does<\/em> actually reveal a new piece of information for once: wolf communication is connected to the world of dreams. Will Moiraine help keep Perrin from going full Wolfen<\/em>? Mmnnnnaybe — as long as it doesn’t interfere with the battle against the Shadow! Gosh, thanks a lot, bitch. It’s nice to know you’ve got a man’s back — always ready to protect it or sink a dagger into it, as appropriate.<\/p>\n

Next thing we know, Jordan hits us with more world of dreams bullshit. Hopper, the wolf Perrin met way back in\u00a0The Eye of the World<\/em>‘s\u00a0Chapter 23: Wolfbrother<\/a>, is there warning him of danger. He watches as a shadow murders a man, then has a run-in with Lanfear, who isn’t happy with the intrusion. Finally, he wakes up and finds the man’s blood all over him. Ew.<\/p>\n

Cut to Rand, who is heroically… hiding from dogs and zapping them with the One Power? Oh yeah, this guy is flying over the cuckoo’s nest.<\/p>\n
