Don&#8217;t stand directly or obliquely beneath this book, it said, so as to avoid the risk of head trauma that would occur if this volume&#8217;s full heft were to impact your skull.<\/p>\n<p>Readers may be wondering what any of this has to do with the present chapter. Shouldn&#8217;t I be writing about that instead? Yes! But this chapter exemplifies why <em>The Shadow Rising<\/em> is unnecessarily long: it is packed to the brim with wispy clouds of pure white fluff. Sadly, the TL;DR already covered everything that happened in the chapter.
